
MPA secondary students crafted some innovative structures for the "Anything that Floats!" race, in which teams of four are challenged to build human-propelled, homemade boats/floats that can travel 2 lengths of the pool. Congratulations to our winners and all participants!!





Mount Pleasant Area High School students enrolled in AP Biology were challenged to extract DNA from a variety of fruits using only the resources available to them in the lab space. Kudos to Mrs. Mulnix for structuring problem-based learning experiences that prepare our students for contemporary workforce demands!! #OurStudentsAreOurFuture

Mrs. Dreistadt, Mrs. David and Mr. Keller visited the Moonshot Museum as part of a STEM professional development project. During the STEM Immersion Experience, the teachers got to see a lunar spacecraft and participate in space challenges with other educators from Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. Teachers also got to try out some prototypes created by Carnegie Mellon University students. On May 24th, the Moonshot Museum will visit Ramsay Elementary to conduct a special program for our 5th grade students.
