About Us

Four school buildings in the district facilitate a student enrollment of approximately 2,100 in grades K-12.
 
The district offers comprehensive programs providing college preparatory, business, general and vocational/technical courses, which prepare students for a meaningful and productive adult life.

Public Meeting Notice

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Engineering District 12-0 and the Federal Highway Administration, in cooperation with Westmoreland County, will conduct an Open House Public Meeting on Thursday, January 30th, 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Jr/Sr High Cafeteria.

2020-2021 Kindergarten Registration

If you have a child that will be 5 years old by September 1, 2020, and are planning to send them to kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year, you can pick up a registration packet in the office that your child will be attending, either Norvelt or Donegal. Packets need to be returned to the school during registration week, February 3 - 7, 2020. Click here for additional Kindergarten information.

Mt. Pleasant Area Senior Citizen Spaghetti Dinner

Free to Mt. Pleasant Area School District Residents Age 60 and over. Sponsored by Mt. Pleasant Area Educators. Thursday, February 13th from 4:00 - 6:00pm in the High School Cafeteria. Register by calling 724-547-4100

Email Spoofing and Phishing

The Mount Pleasant Area School District strives to protect our student, staff and parent/guardian data. A few emails have gone out appearing to be from someone within the district when they actually are not. We would like to take this opportunity to educate the public on typical Spoofing and Phishing emails.

New Jr/Sr High Student Pick Up Procedure

Beginning on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 parents who wish to pick up their children from the junior-senior high school will be required to park in the junior high parking lot adjacent to the building in a lined parking space.

Automated Phone Calls: Opt-Out

The opt-out "footer" at the end of our outreach calls was added in order to provide recipients a simple way to opt -out of unwanted outreach messages in response to the FCC's recent revisions to the Telecommunications Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
