Our 4th grade scientists explored how flowers play a vital role in plant reproduction! 🌺 Using live lilies, students identified each part of a flower, discovered its function, and learned how these structures work together to help plants reproduce.
Mr. Howells, Mrs. Palangio and MPASD send a heartfelt THANK YOU to Mt. Pleasant Floral & Greenhouses for generously donating the beautiful lilies that made this investigation come to life. 💐 Your support helps our students experience the wonder of science in action! 👩🔬👨🔬✨

🌊🎨 In Mrs. Zontek’s Art Class, first graders created Underwater Scenes! Students drew the ocean floor, added sea creatures 🐡🦀🐙, traced with Sharpie, and used crayons. They loved discovering how watercolor paint resisted the crayon—making their artwork come alive! 💙✨
🎨 This week in Mrs. Zontek’s Art Class, kindergarten students explored creativity through their own scribbles!! ✏️🖍️ After listening to the story I’m Not Just a Scribble, they designed colorful scribbles using crayons and sharpies. 🖌️✨ The young artists are excited to continue their projects and look forward to painting next week!! 🎉🎨

🎓 Commencement Update: Ceremony Moved Indoors 🎓
Due to current weather conditions and an unfavorable forecast, tonight’s Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony will be held indoors in the Junior High Gym as originally scheduled:
🕕 Friday, May 30 at 6:00 PM
While we hoped to celebrate under the stars at Viking Stadium, the safety and comfort of our students, families, and guests must come first. With high winds, rain, and cool temps expected, postponing would only delay the inevitable.
📍 All event times remain the same
🎟️ A limited number of extra tickets (up to 2 per graduate) are available by phone and must be picked up by 3:00 PM today
📺 Watch the ceremony live via our school’s broadcast channel
💺 Overflow seating will be available in the auditorium for guests without gym tickets
