Updated Commencement Announcement – Class of 2025

Dear Mt. Pleasant Area Families,

Due to the current weather conditions and the impending forecast for tomorrow, the difficult decision has been made to hold tonight’s Commencement Ceremony indoors in the Junior High Gym, as originally scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2025, at 6:00 PM.

While we had hoped to celebrate outdoors in Viking Stadium, the safety and comfort of our students, families, and guests must come first. After closely monitoring the forecasts, the addition of high winds and cool temperatures along with the rain potential makes it clear that moving the event to Saturday would only delay the inevitable. All scheduled times for tonight remain the same.

We understand that indoor seating is more limited. However, we do have a limited number of additional tickets available—up to two extra tickets per graduate. These must be reserved by phone and picked up in person by 3:00 PM today.

The ceremony will also be broadcast live through our school’s YouTube channel, and overflow seating will be available in the auditorium for additional guests without gym tickets.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility. Commencement is a cherished milestone, and while the setting may be different than planned, our commitment to making it a meaningful and memorable event remains unchanged.
