Homework for first grade is based on daily and weekly work. Therefore, homework will be sent home after a lesson has been taught. If your child is absent, please make arrangements for picking up the missed classwork and homework (either sending it home with another child, picking it up in the office, or having your child bring it home when he/she returns to school). Homework each week, will consist of studying for a spelling test, to read leveled readers and the weekly story (sign reading log), and practice math facts. There may be other worksheets that come home. Please be sure to check your child's take-home folder for homework.
